Nick Casey Campaign Starts General Election with $873,000 Cash-on-Hand $332,000 Raised in Second Quarter

CHARLESTON, WV – The Nick Casey for Congress campaign (WV-02) today announced it has finished the second quarter financial reporting period of 2014 with $873,000 cash-on-hand after raising more than $332,000 during the quarter. The campaign has raised more than $1.2 million overall.

“Our campaign’s momentum has grown dramatically since the Primary Election in May, and I am so humbled to have a very diverse group of donors representing business, labor, Democrats and Republicans—all of whom are fed-up with our broken Congress,” said Nick Casey. “I hear every day from donors that they are supporting my campaign because they need and deserve a true West Virginian they know and trust representing them in Washington.”

Casey has attracted significant bi-partisan support in both fundraising and endorsements, including those participating in the growing “Republicans for Casey” effort.

Key facts about Nick Casey’s fundraising for Q2:

· $332,000 raised in Q2 (April 1-June 30) – almost double the largest previous quarter

· $873,000 cash-on-hand for the general election

· 81% of Casey’s donors are from West Virginia, unlike the opponent, Alex Mooney, who raised only 3% of his funds from inside West Virginia [Center for Responsive Politics]

· 34% of Casey’s donors are registered Republicans

· Casey enjoys broad support from both business and labor groups
